This is some delicious granola. Topped with fresh fruit and yogurt it is a great way to start the day. You can enjoy it, then ask at the counter to find one of Big Sur's best hikes.
Yield, four pounds
- 8 cups Organic rolled oats
- 4 cups Organic wheat flakes
- 1 1/3 cups Organic oat bran
- 1 1/3 cups Non-fat dry powdered milk
- ½ cup Sesame seeds
- 2 cups Cashews
- 6 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 2/3 cups Maple syrup
- 1 1/3 cups Safflower oil
- 1 cup Water
- 3-4 Oranges zest and juice
Mix ingredients together well. Spread onto two lined baking sheets and toast on low, 250 degrees F. Stir often until golden brown. Cool before bagging.
